| This Thunderchief is now on display at the Jacksonville Museum of Military History, Jacksonville, Arkansas. The dedication ceremony on September 25, 2009 was carried out by Col. Leo Thorsness, a recipient of the Medal of Honor for valor as an F-105 pilot in the Vietnam War. On his 93rd mission over North Vietnam on April 30, 1967, he was shot down, captured and held as a prisoner of war for six years. | |
