| I served in Vietnam with the 48th Assault Helicopter company in 1965 and 1966 as a Huey slick pilot.  Thank you for keeping this Huey is such great condition.  Just looking at pictures of this Huey taken by a friend,  I get an  emotional high, but I am also saddened by the fact that many Huey pilots and crew members died flying Hueys. I belong to the North Carolina Vietnam Helicopter Association. We have 5 Vietnam era helicopters all of which are transported on trailers. We bring them to air shows, parades, schools and special events. I hope to be able to visit the Volo museum the next time I am in the Chicago area. | |
