| This arcraft was built by Standard Motors (Coventry). Served with the R.F.C. and R.A.F. until disposed of at Croydon, being sold to A.R.M. Rickards in 1920, where the registration G-EAVX was issued. The aircraft was bought as one of a pair, the other being registered as G-EAVY purchased by a famous Norwegian Tryggve Gran. 'VX' last flew at the 1921 Aerial Derby at Hendon, piloted by Dring Leslie Frorestier-Walker, who ground looped the aircraft. The fuselage was discovered in a barn by its current owner, who has slowly been restoring it since 1973. The Pup is now being restored to flying condition, by a team at RNAS Yeovilton. | |
