| I have owned this single seat flexwing microlight since new in 1985 and fly it regularly. Over 500 hours flown with same engine it is without doubt superb to fly, light handling, easily rigged from wing bag, very economical, good grass strip take off performance. A delight to fly on quiet summer evenings and days with light winds. Flies at a speed that lets you appreciate what you see on the ground. Have flown all round the Orkney Islands landing at most of the strips there. Very portable on a trailer and quick to rig.
I also own a spare Photon G-MNKK which I intend fitting a higher powered engine to increase rate of climb, speed and take off performance for my 90 kg weight. At the moment I am thinking of fitting a Czech Flyengine F200 or a Hirth F33 which both are light. The Photon is now SSDR and not required to conform to CAA Section S regulations apart from a noise certificate requirments. l |
