Will the person who inquired (perhaps from New Zealand) about this Rose Parrakeet design read my article here on the aircraft? Most of your questions will be answered there. The Rose Parrakeet design is not a re-naming of the Swanson SS-3/Lincoln Sport design. The Rose Parrakeet is a welded steel tube fuselage fabric covered design with different dimensions, different landing gear and different engine. The Swanson SS-3/Lincoln Sport was an all-wood and wire truss fuselage design with a 28 Hp ground trainer engine. Please go to Articles-click on Aircraft History, then Vintage Aircraft to find my illustrated Rose A-1 Parrakeet article. I can supply definitive references if more information or clarification is necessary. |
