| The original "tripple 5 whisky" was a Beech E18 (3 bladed prop). I don't know its history prior to my flying oilies it in Libya circa 1968 with Air Libya (Not the national airline). Shortly after I left, one of the pilots, Christian, from Denmark, was doing a rather high speed taxi on sand apparently, and hit a soft spot. It went on the nose, and might even still be there. I don't know the exact location in Libya. | |
