When I was 16 yrs old, I flew this aircraft across the US with the then current owner Robert Pardis. Due to weather conditions and a rather slow speed, 105knts for most of the trip, it took us 34 flight hrs to make the trip. We even landed in one of the infamous California dust storms in Blythe Ca. I'm now 63 and that memory is STILL very alive in my mind. Incredible TRIP! Not many 16 yr old kids get a weeks vacation like THAT! |
