My dad was the original owner of this aircraft. It was our first of very many 150's. He started SELLERS AVIATION COMPANY in Enid, Oklahoma in 1964. This was the first A/C he was able to purchase... we leased another aircraft till then. Eventually Bill Sellers became an FAA examiner and we had a very complete fixed base operation as a Cessna Dealer. N2586J was sold to Perk Earhart... a direct descendant of Amelia Earhart. That was a long time ago. My dad sold the business in 1984 and died in 1986. Flying was his life from 1940 till he contracted pancreatic cancer in 1986. Fighter Pilot in WW II and Korea. Test Pilot at Wright-Patterson AFB (where I was born) and Muroc Field. His oldest son flew F4 Phantoms (two tours in viet Nam), T-37 & T-38 instructor, and F-105s. Was killed in an A/C crash in 1979. I worked F4's in the US Navy. Original color was polished aluminum and two tones of green detail. This was the first A/C I ever flew as a student. I didn't solo early enough to be P.I.C. of this A/C.... but I wish I had. Any chance that this 150 is for sale? Thanks for keeping her in the air...where she belongs... James F. Sellers
