Johnny Carson of the Tonight Show learned how to fly in in this airplane according to EAA. http://www.eaa.org/news/2009/2009-06-11_carson.asp | |

N2997U was once owned and flown by Johnny Carson, the late long-time Host of the NBC-TV Tonight Show. He owned other aircraft also, but this was the only one he personally flew. The plane was flown to EAA AirVenture 2009 by the present owner who had been unaware of the past connection. Johnny's flight bag with contents is to be donated to the EAA Aviation Museum during AirVenture 2009 in a scheduled ceremony. |
