This a/c used to belong to the CRREL lab flying club and was based at Post Mills, Vermont, airport. As a retired Navy enlisted I was eligible to join the club and my son (then 11) and I flew it on a tour of Civil War Battlefields in April 1968. It was a good a/c - would outperform a Cessna 150 although it hd no radio. My last flight in it was November 27, 1969, on a sightseeing trip from Post Mills.

I flew in this airplane often as a teenager in the mid 1970s. It was still part of the CRREL flying club. It was based at Lebanon airport. My Dad, an engineer at CRREL, did quite a bit of the maintenance on this plane. One winter we even had the wings for this plane in our downstairs hallway as he put new fabric on them.
