I got my private ticket in this aircraft back in march of 1947 at Mead, Washington. My old instructor Ed Hartz passed away at 93 years old. He was the oldest test pilot in the world when he quit flying for Boeing. I have a picture of 034 after it was damaged extensively in a storm at Calkins airport, on the outer edge of Spokane back in Aug. of 1953. |
