| if I'm not mistaken this aircraft was used in the classic airplane adventure "Back From Eternity" http://tcmdb.com/title/title.jsp?scarlettTitleId=1202 (you can view the trailer for the film on this site) and is supposedly the only flying DC2 left. http://www.jetphotos.net/showphotos.php?regsearch=N39165 | |

| This Aircraft was featured in the 1956 re-make of "Back from Eternity", starring Rod Steiger, Robert Ryan, and Anita Ekberg. The plane (1935 DC-2) and crew makes an emergency landing in a South American Jungle valley and the drama begins... Great to see this plane reconditioned and still flying after almost 80 years. Amazing. | |
