| I built and flew a fiberglass/sheeted foam model (2-meter) of this aircraft in 1970. I flew it at Torrey Pines in San Diego, Calif. The only photo of the original aircraft I ever saw was a color postcard I had. The Schleicher ASW-15 depicted in the photo had an "N" number N3981 and a tail number 7T. I sold the model in 1971 and do not know its whereabouts now. It was very fast and flew well with a two-channel (rudder/flying stabilizer) setup. | |
