My dad, Herb Shields, purchased this T-craft in 1962 from Dick Reardon 3/4 restored. A real creampuff, we flew it several times deep into Baja California during the 60s, one trip which was together with Don Downie (author) flying an Aeronca Champ. Later sold to upgrade (?) to a Piper Clipper. This plane was kept at Brackett Field in La Verne, CA during this period. |
