| This K6 can be seen taking off in the 1969 US National Championships in the film "The Sun Ship Game" made by Drew Associates. I think this is the sailplane that famously landed in the middle of the town of Marfa in the competition that year. The story is recalled by the pilot (possibly a Mr Shannon) in the film, in conversation with pilots George Moffat (later to become two times world champion) and Gleb Derujinsky (the famous fashion photographer). | |
