N5827Z was a primary trainer at Louisville Flying Service till late 1967. It was my trainer while in high school. I soloed in it. Late in 1967 Louisville Flying Service sold it to Lexington Flying Service. On January 16, 1968 it crashed into Keeneland Race track shortly after take due to fuel starvation. See NTSB report CHI68F0545. My parents might have a photo or two of it but I have not seen the photos since I left for college. in that same year. If I find a photo I will post it. |
