| I rode this aircraft (currently AP-BFY) from Jeddah to Karachi on August 26, 2011 (flight PK-732); it is in pathetic shape - not surprising for Pakistan's airline PIA which is deteriorating like the rest of the country. Entering the pitch dark plane we were led by a flashlight to our seats - much like in movie theatres. The light was absent for most of the time we were on the four hour flight; it only came on with some difficulty - four attempts - during the time food was served. The air-conditioning started only when we were in the air otherwise I fanned myself with the safety instructions card for about an hour. The only fact that pilots care about their lives as much as I do allows one to fly PIA (as a last resort) | |
