| I am happy to see that this aircraft is still flying. It was owned in the mid 70's by Air Explorer Post 605 in Gettysburg PA. We had the tail # changed to reflect the BSA registration # of our post. I took lessons in this plane after our first plane which we had restored, a Champ 7AC, N7005X, was demolished in a wind shear accident upon landing by a student. sad day! Dr Jim Sheen was our advisor, and one of the instructors. He was a very dedicated individual, a man who loved to help young men learn his passon, Flying. I do not know when the post actually sold the aircraft.....I have some fond memories of that plane. | |
