| I was stationed at Sioux City Airbase [SUX] 521st Materiel Sqdr. from 1954-6. This aircraft was derelict, having been stripped for parts. Sometime in '54-'55, it was "reassembled" and ferried to the bone yard in Arizona. It was the last of the 521st C-82's to be replaced by C-119's. I was one of the "re assemblers". | |
