| I flew around 400 hours in this airplane when I was a controller at Los Angeles ARTCC in Palmdale. However, on November 19th, 1992, the owner of the FBO and N737WZ, Desmond McCarthy, crashed it into the Tehachapi mountains while on a flight to Bakersfield and died along with his passenger. The weather was terrible at the time. They survived initially but died of exposure. I flew SAR missions the next morning in extreme turbulence, but we couldn't find them in time.
