Recently I did a Google search on N75708, and discovered this website. I was the owner of that J3 Cub, which I purchased from Pat Breen (who ran the airport in Denton, TX) in February, 1953 until I sold it (don't remember the name of the purchaser, but he was an airline pilot, I think, who lived in the Denton area). My last flight was in August, 1954, and I lost track of the plane at that time. I had assumed the plane was either wrecked or eventually wore out, but am happy to discover that baby is still full of life! I do have a number of pictures of the plane, as well as many shots taken from the plane, mostly around Denton, the Texas Panhandle, and Houston areas. If you are interested, and can be patient enough to wait for me to scan them, I'd be happy to share them with you. Also, shots of Denton airport, as it was more than fifty years ago. |
