former PK float demo aircraft in years 1979 and 1980 ( thus the reg. no.) Owned by Reg Phiffer from 1980 until his death in the mid 90's sold by his estate. Plane appeared in a holywood movie ( title unknown) and spent the majorityt of its flying life in Canada under Anerican Reg. ( Phiffer had duel citizenship) plane has some dammage history, was ground looked on wheals in teh western USA in the early 90's and repaired. Reg was a radio fan, the plane had several highly modified radios , including an HF SSB radio for high arctic use. This was one of the first cicillian planes to leagelly fly into soviet airspace in the early 90's on an accross the high arctic tour. I flew 92 hours a pilot in command during the late 80's on two chross county trips across Canada. Photos will follow wonce scanned. |
