I, along with my deceased partner Dr.B.G.Robbins, were the original owners of N80487; it was originally Gold and Yellow Paint Scheme with matching wheel pants. I am a Vitnam Veteran and after Dr.Robbins died, I could not afford it by myself. I would love to have it back for memories sake and now that I am 68 years old, I might could borrow the necessary money. I watched as the new owner left the (DYR) Dyersburg, Tennessee Airport and I began to think of my partner and the good time we had had together. I had tears form in my eyes as it climbed its way out of sight; and now I realize that the most fun I have ever had, after getting back to CONUS, was flying this particular aircraft. How great it was for me to accidentially stumble across its listing tonight and to see and old friend still flying. I have a picture of this plane in the giold colorscheme with a snow ball laying beside me and a my instructor cutting my shirt tail off to display in MEM ATC. |
