| | I crewed this helicopter from 1980 through 1982 when it was in the 101st Abn Div AAslt, 3rd Inf Bde, Casper Flight Platoon. It was very reliable and the one of the divisions last OD green helicopters to be painted IR color (rough dark color). It supposedly was originally a 173rd Avn (Casper) aircraft in Vietnam but became a 101st asset when the 173rd was deactivated in 1972 at Ft Campbell Ky. I have picture of it from back then. | | Aircraft registration records for N8833D show that this helo has been decommissioned and the aircraft has been sent to Mexico.
Also this registration number has been adopted and applied to a 1958 Cessna 182 for X-plane flight simulator by Heinz Dziurowitz. |
