| I owned this acft from about april 1968 until about march of 1969. I bought in richmond, va and flew it to ashville, nc, where is was operated. i flew it from ashvile to sacremento in nov of 1968 air time was 23 hours. weather forced several delays and changes in course, but the flight was great. i may not receive a reply as my email is screwed up, but i wanted you to know that is was a fine acft. i took my privat flt exam in it. the famous Lacy griffith was my examiner. the next day my wife and i loaded it up and headed west. we weighted every think with a bathroom scale, and loaded it to 2000 lbs. even loaded it performed well. i even climed out of blyth ca to 14700 ft in order to clear a mountain wave. i also ran my fuel to the lowest i have every before or since landing in bakersfield ca refueling 34 out of 36 gals. | |
