| Greetings- I once owned Ercoupe Model C/D registered as N93978 in New Jersey in the mid 1970's. I based it for 2 years at Sky Manor Airport. The previous owner based it at Kupper Airport, now known as Central Jersey Regional Airport. At the time it had fabric wings; clearly the better alternative. It had no radios. The only gyro was an old style turn and bank that ran off a venturi on the left side if the plane. I bought it for $2,800 and sold it 2 years and 200 hours later for #3,500. Needed the $$dough for college tuition payments. The plane ran and flew great! What a fun plane! As of March, 2006, I hold a SE/ME land Commercial license with an SE land CFI and AGI & IGI certificates, and am the State Director of Aeronautics for the State of New Jersey. | |
