| I flew this arcraft many times in the early 80's. In those days it was owned by the Maryborough (Qld) Club and was lent to the Gympie Club for some time while Maryborough got their strip organised. Once that was sorted it went home to Maryborough so I had the pleasure of flying it at both clubs as a solo pilot and Instructor. Got her to 8,800 ft at Maryborough one day which wasn't all that bad for up there. Flew a number of Blaniks in my time - GGH (Gympie), GIM (Gayndah), GYM (Gympie), WUU (at Kingaroy) and of course GVK.
Lovely aircraft, all of them and a tragedy to see them grounded. |
