When I was an Instructor at Archerfield Airport in Brisbane way back in 1969-1973 this aircraft was one of the five Victas RQAC operated. I logged some 1200 hours on these wonderful aircraft and RQL was my favourite of the fleet. It was aerodynamically the best of them all and just had a good "feel" to it. Brilliant for aerobatics though all the 110 up Victas were somewhat underpowered for manoeuvres, the 150 hp constant speed prop model solved that problem. I wonder where it is now? |
