Research shows that this airframe was purchased from Mike Stowe who used it as a 'Spares Ship' and stored the fuselage at his home at Peppard Common. It moved to some chap near Chinnor who had the remains of XF898 and made one out of the two. The wings came from Ireland and components sourced from all over the UK. Was eventually put on static display at their farm for several years. Moved to Wales in 1983 and swapped (along with many spares) for a Proctor G-AHTE. |
