| as a young person i used to help the pilot of this aircraft refuel by hand every night after a days topdressing from 44 gallon drums. the aircraft was based in amberley and operated by aerial sowing canty. l.t.d. the pilots name was ken eden.this man made amodification to this particular aircraft i.e. venturi for the fuel tanks unfortunately resulting in a forced landing at new brighton race course in christchurch no damage done apart from a red face. ken had many thousands of hours flying and was an exceptional pilot this aircraft was the first aircraft i had ever flown in and am pleased to see it is still flying |
