N9078E, 1946 Aeronca 11AC Chief C/N 11AC-710, 78E after landing on private strip (now closed due in part to a fatal C150 crash) in central calif. around 1994. There were many strips like this in the Mt Hamilton area,most of which are now closed.This strip is now part of Henry Coe state park.

  • N9078E - 78E flys south in the Calif central valley.In the distance to the west is seen Mt Diablo (3865 ft)which is the most prominent landmark and can be seen for a hundred miles.On VFR days it made navigation easy. - by S B J by S B J
