42-72843, 1942 Consolidated B-24D-160-CO Liberator C/N 2413, On display at the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force.  Built in San Diego, the Liberator was ferried to the 9th Air Force, where it was assigned to the 512th Bomb Squadron of the 376th BG.  “Strawberry Bitch” flew over 50 missions.
