  • NONE Airport - Glenn Eagle airport.This poor picture (only one I have) was taken on our only visit to this beautiful dirt strip befor it closed.Was a short walk to Eagle Lake which is just east of Lasson National Park.This was in 1980. - by S B J by S B J
  • NONE Airport - Bob Ried strip in the Sacramento Delta near Rio Vista,Ca.The 1200 foot was fine for Bob in his Super Cub (N6995B) but not my Tcraft until I departed away from the trees & water but downwind.Even then it was tight with the little experience I had in 1973. - by S B J by S B J

  • NONE Airport - Livermore Sky Ranch 1930-1965.Was a mile from Livermore with a 4K ft turf runway. Picture is from 1964 with my dad and I walking the line looking at the wide variety of planes back then! Closed when new out of town airport opened. - by S B J by S B J
  • NONE Airport - Eagleville airport which was closed around 2000 was a nice little airport in NE calif.While it was in Ca,the mountains seen are in Nevada.This stop was in 1988. This nice hangar was the only structure at the airport. - by S B J by S B J

  • NONE Airport - Robbins Airport near Lake Comanche,Ca.is a private strip.View is to the west and the 1st annual Chief ( and only one) fly in in progress.If open to the public (its not) the 1500 foot runway might need a net at the end to catch sunday pilots. - by S B J by S B J
  • NONE Airport - Point Arena lighthouse helicopter pad.Near pad is listed on the 1973 California Chart a STOL runway but no other information. Google map shows only a pad.This is the Northern Calif. coast. Stunningly beautiful place to fly,but far too few airports. - by S B J by S B J

  • NONE Airport - 78E at a ranch strip in the Diablo Range near Mt Hamilton in 1987.Landed there several times till land was given to Calif. to add to an existing state park thus closing the strip.Was a long,wide nice dirt runway.Built for large planes or maybe poor pilots - by S B J by S B J
  • NONE Airport - Helicopter pad on Tatoosh Island for the lighthouse near Cape Flattery,Wash.It is on The Strait Of Juan De Fuca.It is the most NW point of the US. View is to the south. - by S B J by S B J
  • NONE Airport - Pardee Dam strip.My dad landed here in 1961 on a fishing trip in the near by reservior.A wheel pant came off on landing due to improper installation-by me.Dam is 10 miles from Jackson,Ca.and is not in picture.That is only a small pond. View is north. - by S B J by S B J
  • NONE Airport - Haley Ag strip north of Tracy,Ca.near the Sacramento delta.Was able to use it when I kept a boat at a near by marina.Runway is parallel to levee road.Large tower is wires crossing river.My C150 can almost be seen. View is east. - by S B J by S B J
