| On october 23rd 1957, this aircraft crashed a Nutts Corner, Belfast, Northern Ireland with the loss of 5 crew and 2 passengers. One mile from touchdown, the aircraft drifted away from the runway centreline and a go-round was initiated. The aircraft crashed 1000 ft south of the western end of the runway. The investigation concluded that the crash 'must remain a wholly unexplained calamity'. | |
