Gravelly Valley Airport (1Q5) - N3942E in the early morning light ready to depart Gravelly Valley. The air this fall morning was excellent. Sometimes wish you could capture the moment in a bottle. This was one of those moments!

  • Gravelly Valley Airport (1Q5) - View is from the south to the north-northwest and Hull Mt with its winter covering of snow. This picture shows why for some aircraft, it is a one way strip. Good size hill to climb over. - by S B J by S B J
  • Gravelly Valley Airport (1Q5) - N9078E at Gravelly Valley around 1977-78 and showing a large hangar that was once there. It was gone by the mid 80s. Uncertain if it was a private hangar or not as 1Q5 was an active air tanker base ( during fire season ) at one time. - by S B J by S B J
  • Gravelly Valley Airport (1Q5) - Right down the runway to the north and several visiting aircraft which included a Cessna 310. This 310 pilot put on a little airshow which was very impressive to say the least! Notice pickup crossing runway so be prepared when landing for this possibility - by S B J by S B J
  • Gravelly Valley Airport (1Q5) - View is down runway and to the north.42E is seen departing in the best direction toward the lake. Keep in mind that prop damage (with some tricycle planes) is possible due to gravel runway. - by S B J by S B J
