N3942E - When I fly over the Mother Lode gold country,always think of the 49ers who spent a good part of their life searching for that big pot of gold.
N3942E		 N3942E - 42E in a race (well almost) with 78E as they fly over Highway 49 which runs through almost all the California Mother Lode gold communities.
N3942E		 N5248Z - 48Z looking a little lonely on Silver lake which is several miles from Baker,Calif.Silver Lake was used as a WWII training base as seen in the 0O2 (Baker,Ca) picture. Many airplanes preceded 48Z landing on Sliver Lake and once saw a C130 do a touch and go
