| Collided with F-104N (NASA 813) on June 8th, 1966 while publicity filming for General Electric engines. Both aircraft were destroyed. The F-104N pilot Dr. Joseph A. Walker and XB-70A copilot Major Carl Cross were killed. The XB-70A pilot ejected safely. | |
