| I learned to fly on this aircraft in 1970 when it was part of the Oxford Air Training School fleet, based at Carlisle. I was on an RAF cadet flying scholarship, which provided 30 hours of tuition including 10 hours solo. Unfortunately, I did not complete my PPL as the extra 5 hours to qualify were too expensive at £10 per hour! | |
