This aircraft was built as C-47A 42-24306 and delivered to USAAF on 9/2/43. Remained stateside during WWII, and passed to War Assets Administration on 12/18/46. Unknown sale date to first civilian operator, registered as NC75583. !953 purchased by Ideal Cement Co. of Denver, CO. Unknown date sold to Potash Co of America, Inc at Dumas, TX. In 1966 re-registered as N818J and sold to Joy Manufacturing, Inc. November 1967 went to Tri-State Aviation of Washington, PA. 4/20/72 registered as CF-WGM to Millardair, Ltd at Malton, Ontario. 1973 sold to Golfe Air Quebec of Hauterive, and CF-WGM cancelled in Feb. 1982. In May 1982 the plane was registered as N2668D with Century Airlines of Pontiac, MI. Sold to Basler Flight Services of Oshkosh, WI 10/12/84, although a delivery to them was reported to have taken place Dec. 1983 or Jul 1984.
