Designed by C. G. Taylor and manufactured by the Taylor Aircraft Co. of Bradford, PA, the E-2 spawned perhaps the most significant civil trainer and sport airplane of all time, the Piper J-3 Cub. William T. Piper bought Taylor's assets in the early 30's.
