Aircraft ZA947 Photo

Originally allocated the UK military serial number KG661. Research showed that the serial ‘KG661’ had previously belonged to a Dakota that had been destroyed in an accident. So the serial number was changed to a new one - ZA947

ZA947 @ EGVI - Douglas Dakota operated by the MOD (Royal Aircraft Establishment) and marked Portpatrick Princess. Photographed at the IAT at RAF Greenham Common in 1981. Previously carried the incorrect tail number KG661 in the 1970's. Now operated by the BBMF. - by Roger Winser
