XH561, 1960 Avro Vulcan B.2, c/n Set 15, My contact is piloting 3 in 'Hotel' on the port wing. Pilot's comments: "Note the Maltese crosses on the fin as we had just got back from the exercise in Malta and the Maltese had agreed we could put their Maltese (George) Cross on the aircraft.

XH561 @ RAF - My father Chief Technician Hugh Jackson was involved in the refit of this aircraft in 1965. He and the crew worked really hard on getting it back to airworthy condition. Dad was awarded the British Empire M in the 1966 New Years Honours for his effort. - by C/T HUGH JACKSON BEM
