I "Bought" this a/c at the plant in I think 1972, and flew it to my squadron VP 16.
VP 16 picked up 158912-158919 and 158921. Our MO came up with the idea to use the last # of the BUNO as the MODEX #, so LF 1 was 158921, LF 2 was 158912 and so on. Only Squad to do that, until later when I was on TAW5 staff awaiting to go into VT 2 as XO/CO the wing got new T34C, which we used the last 3 digits as the Modex.
