Originally built as an A-26C and redesignated B-26C post 1948. First civilian owner found was L.B. Smith Aircraft Corporation of Miami, who registered it as N8025E in 1960. He sold it to the Rock Island Oil & Refining Company of Wichita, KS, who had converted it to a Monarch 26 executive aircraft. It was then sold in January 1962 to Woodward Governor Company of Rockford, IL, who registered it as N137WG. From there it went to Supreme Machine Products of Rockford, IL in 1969, who registered it as N437W. Early 1972 the plane was Stan Burnstein in Tulsa, OK, until 8/15/74 when it was sold to Lester Risley of Anchorage, AK. In 1977 the plane suffered a fatal crash while taking off from Aniak Airport, due to flap control rod failure. The aircraft was left there, and was later taken to the dump by the airport management.
