This aircraft was built as UC-43 44-76068 for the US Army Air Force, but was immediately transferred to the US Navy as GB-2 23733 on 19 May 1944. It served stateside during the war and was struck off strength on 31 July 1946. It then entered the civilian world as N67198. On 24 January 1974 the aircraft was donated to the United States Air Force Museum and painted as a UC-43 with the 8th Air Force in England in 1943.
