This aircraft was built as C-47B 44-76326 and delivered to USAAF during February 1945. It continued serving with the USAF after the war, and in Sep. 1954 it was converted to a VIP configuration and redesignated as VC-47D. It was procured for the Battleship Alabama Museum in October 1975
