Aircraft originally FB-111A with USAF first flying 1970, then to F-111G to RAAF on 1/14/94. www.adfserials.com has this:
Performed the flyby during the 2000 Olympic games closing ceremony over the Sydney Harbour Bridge. Grounded from 12/02/02 to 2003 due to wing failures. Was in Service 6 Sqn.
All F-111Gs retired by 2007. Aircraft scrapped and fuselage buried at Swanbank landfill site near Ipswich 11/2011.
