This Lancaster was delivered to the RAF in May 1945, but was returned to Canada in August 1945 after WWII ended. After returning to Canada the aircraft was delivered to the RCAF as "FM136". After service with the RCAF the aircraft was placed on a pole at Calgaty International Airport. In 1992 the aircaft was removed from the pole and transfered to the Museum. The aircraft has been restored by the museum for static display.
