| Re Fox Moths on Southport sands. I distinctly remember paying 7s-6d for my first ever flight from the sands in the mid-late 1950's. This seems to pre date other information. when did they start flying from Southport? Is it at all possible to fly in G-ACEJ now? Tony Halliwell. | |

| Yes - it was on the telly last week (Coast BBC2), amazed it's still flying, I too flew for first time in 1950s in this aircraft with Giro. | |

| I had the privilage of flying in G-ACEJ in 2006, coutesy of Jan Cooper, the owner. I too flew in a Fox Moth at Southport for 7/6d, in the 50's, which prompted a full career in the RAF. I related the the experience to Jan and requested she could help that I could re-live the experience on my 60th bithday, which she very graciously did. Again a flight not forgotton. | |
