This A/C was based at the Robins AFB Aero Club for a number of years. In the fall of '91 I was on a local flight in 10465. About 5-6 miles out from the base #5 connecting rod let go. That took out #6 cylinder and knocked a large hole in the top and bottom of the case. Made it to the runway with no dents or dings, but that put the A/C out of commission for a while. Due to budget considerations A/C was transferred to present location 2-3 years later.
